We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality assurance and development teams. As an SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and implementing automated testing solutions, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to improve the development process. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and security of our software applications. Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to understand project requirements and use that knowledge to design comprehensive test strategies. Perform manual testing when necessary and write test plans to ensure complete test coverage. Execute and analyze test results, identify defects, and report issues to the development team for resolution. Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and verify that new features have been implemented correctly. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that tests are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Automate and monitor build and deployment processes to facilitate continuous testing and rapid feedback. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the testing team and promote a culture of quality within the organization. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience as an SDET or in a similar software testing role. Strong programming skills, preferably in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar). Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development and QA teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
